Accountant
Dekker Oilfield Services Ltd. has an opening for a self-motivated, responsible, and well-organized professional for a permanent flexible time accountant position.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the CEO, the accountant will have broad responsibilities covering the accounting function including but not limited to financial analysis and reporting, paperwork flow, data entry, general administration duties and ad hoc projects.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Organizing and providing multi-tasked accounting and operational service including preparing documentation, editing, and verifying accuracy, composing correspondence, compiling data/reports, coordinating the efficient flow of paperwork among departments.
Reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
Highlighting key payment dates, up and coming cash transactions or other cash information that is important for management to be aware of and the related cash flow forecasting.
Identifying and reporting on key metrics and financial progress to the senior management team on a regular and scheduled basis.
Preparing interim financial statements for multiple profit centers.
Ensuring on-time compliance with provincial and federal reporting requirements, filings, and payments.
Working within Excel and QuickBooks Desktop to post journal entries, enter and review data, run reports, analyze data and problem solve.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Over 5 years accounting experience at a supervisory level.
Completion of post-secondary accounting courses or accounting certificate program.
Proficient in the following software:
– QuickBooks Desktop (multi user).
– Office suite including outlook.
– Telpay for business.
– Cortex / Workbench / Open Invoice.
Experience in the following areas considered an asset:
– collections and accounts receivable.
– oil and gas or transportation industry.
– payroll oversight.
– payments and accounts payable.
– year-end reporting (WCB, T4s).
– preparation of financial statement close working papers for external accountant.
– understanding of industry regulatory and safety requirements.

- At least 4 years experience directly related to boom truck operation
- Able to pass pre-employment drug test
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- 18 years of age or older
- Live within 30 minutes drive of Lloydminster

Job Description

- Assist supervisor to keep truck cab and exterior clean and organized

- Valid First Aid, H2S, TDG, and WHMIS
- Able to pass pre-employement drug test
